Hi there. All of the sudden Guayadeque has stopped working for me under Ubuntu 12.04. I get a window saying "Cargando pista, por favor espere", meaning something like "Loading track, please wait". CPU usage then goes to 100%. At first I thought it would be related to my guayadeque settings (I have a very large collection and lots of custom settings), so I backed up my settings and music library and deleted them to do a fresh start. However, the problem was still there. Then I upgraded to latest stable in ppa, same thing. So I upgraded to svn and the same thing. Then I started considering the problem came from somewhere else, so I switched to Unity 2D, but the problem was still there. Then I switched to gnome3 (Classic Ubuntu) and it works! It works with compiz enabled and disabled as well. So I guess this has something to do with Unity. Has anyone experienced this? Is there any way I can fix it?
The same is on KDE (Kubuntu 12.04). Player window faintly blinks but files play correctly and it don't use much CPU. Maybe it is because of some wx libs recent update (libwxbase, libwxgtk, python-wxversion, python-wxgtk). You can try to downgrade them.
ii libwxbase2.8-0 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1 ii libwxbase2.8-dev 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1 ii libwxgtk2.8-0 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1 ii libwxgtk2.8-dev 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1 ii wx-common 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1 ii wx2.8-headers 2.8.12.1-6ubuntu2.1
I can play songs and use guayadeque, but it blinks and the loading message remains.
