Guayadeque won't play in Bodhi Linux
  • I just installed guayadeque in Bodhi. I can open it fine and update the library, but when I double click on a song to play it, or click it and press enter, it simply refuses to play.
What can I do to fix it?
    Thanks.
  • Run guayadeque fron console and post console output to see what the problem is but Im quite sure you are missing gstreamer packages
  • I think you're right-

    $ guayadeque

    What plugins do I need?

    Thanks!
  • This is a list of the gstreamer packages I have installed in my system

    bluez-gstreamer
    gir1.2-gstreamer-0.10
    gstreamer0.10-alsa
    gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
    gstreamer0.10-gconf
    gstreamer0.10-nice
    gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad
    gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
    gstreamer0.10-plugins-base-apps
    gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
    gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
    gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio
    gstreamer0.10-tools
    gstreamer0.10-x
    libgstreamer-plugins-bad0.10-0
    libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0
    libgstreamer0.10-0
    libgstreamer0.10-dev

  • Half of these don't even exist for Bodhi 1.4 (Ubuntu 10.04). Do I have to enable a special repository for them?
  • I'm not using bodhi, but they should be in multiverse repo. Enabe it, reload and then see what gstreamer packages you have.
  • Multiverse repos are enabled by default, I double checked sources.list as well. Still no go. ?
  • do you have the same error with any other file type or just with ogg files?
