best for formats - worst for tags?

the great thing is :i use ape, flac, wv, m4a, mp3 in my library and guayadeque is the player that shows most of them compared to other players (linux+windows)

the bad thing: of my nice tagged music (with mp3tag) - about 90.000 tracks at time - only 20.000 show up as tagged.
for the rest only the album´s folder name is written in the album field.

missing tags:
mp3 50.800 out of 53.900
flac 13.700 out of 28.500
m4a 4.600 out of 5.000
ape 967 out of 2.000
wv 200 out of 250

so why is that? is there a solution?

The most probably problem is that its using id3v2.3 instead of v2.4
This have been discussed in the old ubuntu guayadeque support thread.

well that´s sad. i thought i found the right player but i won´t fix 70.000 tracks.
will these tag-issues change in future releases?
for sure i will give guayadeque another try

You can fix this with kid3 for example.
Guayadeque uses the latest id3 version 2.4 instead of the old 2.3. I dont plan to add support to that old version
