Smart mode doesn't work

I have the smart mode on highlighted and it worked fine. I just started the player today and it wont work. very bad because this is the feature that I use this player for. Help!

There are many things that may be the problem. Please check :
1.- You have it enabled with the button with the lamp in the player controls
2.- You dont have a limited playlist in the allow filter or a huge one in the deny filter
3.- Your internet connection is working fine
4.- See in preferences -> playback and post what you have defined in random / smart mode settings

I have it enabled. The allow filter is set on 'all' and the deny filter is set on 'none'. It used to work fine with these settings.
My Internet connection works fine. I can see last.fm info, lyrics etc on the player.
In the preferences->playback settings , the settings are the default ones which never caused a problem. They look fine to me.

The only thing I changed is that now I have a router . Do I need to forward a port for this to work?

random/ smart mode settings:

4 tracks left to start search
3 tracks added each time
20 max played tracks kept in playlist
don't repeat last 20 artists or 100 tracks

I updated to 0.3.5 . works now.
