  * Allow to change language from Preferences -> General
  * All playlists but the dynamic playlists with sort defined can be sorted by any criteria.
  * Added collections support. You can define as many collections as you want.

Well Guayadeque 0.3.5 hangs when I click on the Play button, like an infinite loop. It seems that my settings were kept, but the infinite loop problem prevents me to use it. So I renamed the .guayadeque and it recreated one. It seems to that the problem is gone now, but I lost my settings and my collection.

your collection is no lost. Its at your old .guayadeque folder with the name guayadeque.db
You need to copy it into the new .guayadeque/Collections/ABCDEF01
ABCDEF01 its different for everyone as its an id for the collection

Hi, i have been using 0.3.1 but because it can make my linux hang, if i eject my Usb Flashdisk, i'am not using it anymore.
Then when i saw 0.3.5, i try to compile and install, but i got problem when running it.

i'am using PCLinuxOS 2011 uptodate.

btw, where i can get appindicator version 0.1 ? i cannot find it in my synaptic

Im sorry but I dont know PCLinuxOS and can do much.
AppIndicator is a Library for the status icons created by cannonical for ubuntu.

The segfault you are having happens in the sqlite library. Im using sqlite 3.7.7 here without problems.

I'am using libsqlite3_0-3.7.8-1pclos2011 & libsqlite3-devel-3.7.8-1pclos2011
do you have sugestion to solve this problem, because in 0.3.1 i don't have problem with sqlite.
ps: when i'am compile 0.3.1 i use sqlite 3.7.8 too.

I just finished compiling debug version with ./buildd
run it with gdb and the strange thing is, it can run without problem.
then i re run it without gdb, i don't see any problem, i can load my playlist.m3u with drag it.

btw, can guayadeque load album art embedded in Flac Audio??
i have put album art (cover art) to my Flac music file with EasyTag, it can read by VLC-1.1.13.

hmm, but it's not loaded.
and some mp3 file too, i have some music with cover art resolution 194x384 , 500x496, 360x360 that no loaded too.
ps: it's not loaded in audacious too, but VLC can load it.

btw, do you have plan for adding Lirc support?

With revision 1801 you should be able to see all that images

Logitech multimedia should work thought the multimedia support.
To change shortcuts go to Preferences -> shortcuts

Right click over a playlist and select Export

i have been go to "Preferences -> shortcuts" , but when i press "play/pause button" it not changed.
but when i press another button (not multimedia button) it could change it.
My Keyboard Logitech K260 wireless multimedia keyboard.
My Multimedia keyboard work with KDE, i can change volume in Kmix with it.

hi, i try to change Play/Pause to Space button, but i cannot change it.
And try to make the button, feel like in Audacious or Beep Media Player, example change Play to X button, it's not work either....

is there another way to change it??
like from configuration file???

when change from song "Denwa shite Gan-chan" to "Anata no Birthday" , it will stop playing.
When i use the playlist file to Audacious, SongBird, VLC it can play without problem.

version 0.3.5 here for Ubuntu linux v11.10
Suddenly a window opens with debug information. When I close the window. Guadeque
crashes.
An guayadeque.xml file seems to produce the crash

Hi Anonbeat,

The Problem is from CrossFading.

So when i Disable CrossFading, No matter the mp3 music sequence, after play music no 1 in playlist, it will "Stop Playing" on music no 2 And Only have problem from music no 1 to no 2 in playlist, so if you start play from music no 2 in playlist, it will play to the last music in playlist.
But if i Enable CrossFading, i don't have any problem.

btw, about saving playlist and change key shortcut, can you answer that??
as you can see in here http://img189.imageshack.us/img189/9111/guayadequemusicplayer1.jpg , i cannot export it...

Can you post the console output when there is a problem playing the 2nd item in hte now playing playlist please ?

To export a playlist first you must create the playlist. You can save the tracks or selection of tracks and create a playlist and from the playlist panel you can export it.

I already change the layout, so i cannot find that Panel Playlist.

The Playlist Panel is not a panel. It is the rightmost view/icon/button on your Collection Panel. In this order the views are: Library, Album Browser, Tree View and Playlists

Your screen shot shows that in your layout you've removed the whole My Collection tab. This is where you find your library, and all the views, included playlists. It also includes the search box, so your layout looks a bit inconvenient.

To show elements go to Sources>My Music>...

Owh..., I like that Layout, simple like in Songbird and VLC, I only need Cover View, Play/Pause/etc Button, and Music Playlist.

I try to make Playlist showed, by click Sources ->My Music -> Playlist, but not showing, still showing my Layout before.
Try showing another elements in Sources->MyMusic->Tree, not showing too.
The Only can showed Only Sources->MyMusic->Album Browser.

looklike, the only way to show it, only by reset to default, by removing ~/.guayadeque/ folder.

Okey, I Give up with Playlist thing, I hope Anonbeat could give other way to save Playlist from Pulldown menu Sources, or Right Click on Music List.
For now i will using VLC or Songbird to create playlist.

new to the forum, relatively new to Linux and Guayadeque...
I just love to sit and watch, but I felt I needed to say that I fell in love with Guayadeque! ...didn't know where else to post / didn't sound like it's worth starting a new thread !
Not a single player I've ever tried on both Ubuntu and OS X is "perfect", but this comes close.

Been using Linux a while, and always struggled to find a decent music player. I run an Ubuntu minimal CLI + fluxbox, so must be lightweight, and have a media library. Enter guayadeque. Absolutely superb, and the smart playlist feature is just witchcraft, I have about 10,000 songs, and all I have to do is choose one song that I am in the mood for and I am sorted for the evening, straight out of the box, no learning required, unbelievable. Can't believe I have been going all this time without it! Thank you so much.

Dude! Best player since Amarok 1.4. And that is the gold standard. Lyrics fetching and cover fetching work nicely. As does tag editing. Collection scanning seems to be pretty fast, too. Very nice.

@drosstheboss: that site if I remember correctly cant be added because the urls for the lyrics cant be guessed. Guayadeque need that the url uses certain rules that you can guess and instruct Guayadeque on how to build that url.

@drosstheboss: Im right now thinking about porting guayadeque to qt as you may know. If at the end I decide to do it that way the lyrics engine will change with a new idea I have and with that new system it should be possible to use that site for lyrics.

I installed the player on unbuntu 12.04 Xfce from repository.
I like this player.
And there are some problems.
1. Trace rating is not remembered. I set rating, close player and open them. Rating is none
2. I cannot add trace to static play list.
I ran in user and root accounts. The effect is the same in both cases
Before I was installing player on ubuntu 10.04 from svn. There are no problem.
Why? What am I doing wrong?

Built guayadeque on Ubuntu 10.10 and works fine haven't done a lot of testing
but radio listening is quite a pleasure.

Using 0.3.5, haven't tried since 0.2.7. Great progress so far! The two showstopper missing features for me are now in there. Awesome job.
But I've been trying for too long to get the player controls anywhere but the left of the "main tabbed window". There are 3 controls that I can't move at all: The main tabbed window, the player controls, and the player filters. I'd like to see the player controls either along the bottom, or in a small square in the bottom right corner. How can I get them to the other side of the main window?
Using XFCE 4.8 on Xubuntu 12.04.

@chargerfan420: Please check this. Go to Menu View->Show Captions
With this you will make visible the litle area that allow you to drag the elements. Once they are in place do again View->Show Captions to hide it again

Thanks for the quick reply! I had them checked off but the players' titlebar was missing. Toggling the setting brought it back, so I'm good to go now.
I've tried a lot of media players on Linux and this is the only one that comes even close to having the features and flexibility of MediaMonkey. Well done good sir!

Exaile used to be my favorite player but the project has sadly come to a stop, this is honestly the best player I've used so far. Better than Foobar, Clementine and Exaile (all players that I love) if you ask me. Thanks for the hardwork. :]
